About CIS Foundation

Chanakaya International School is co-educational English medium school situated at Dakoha-Talhan road, Puranpur , Jalandhar. The school imparts education from the Pre-Nursery to the senior secondary level. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and is managed by Hare Kirpa Education Society a professional group of qualified people responsible for conceiving, developing and implementing education standards for school. The school aims to encourage the all-around development of a child, fostering in him/her a love for excellence tempered by compassion and human values. ‘School cannot run on exuberant funds but with dedicated and pure heart’. A principal is like a candle that burns itself to light the minds of staff and students. Keeping this fact in mind Hare Kirpa Society decided to open a premier institution. The foundation of the school was laid down by the Founder  S. Harmail Singh Retd PPS Gallantry Awardee on 2nd February in the year 2004. The sapling planted by him in 2004 has become a lofty green tree. Today we rank among the best institution in the state of Punjab.

Curriculum Design

The curriculum has been designed to develop concentration, comprehension, presentation, imagination and creativity in the students. Some salient features of strategies adopted are:-

  • The children – ‘learn by doing’.
  • They are aquainted with real life situations.
  • They are encouraged to use their observation and judgement.
  • Tours, excursions and visits are a part and parcel of curriculum.
  • Sports/games are encouraged at all levels.
  • Music and Art are the parts of the curriculum.
  • Vocational training in electrical, carpentry, computers is given to acquire workable knowledge of related subjects.
